About Pastor Yvon

Pastor Yvon Selin was born and raised in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.  He is a graduate of Cincinnati Christian University, Cincinnati, Ohio.  He has been married to his first and only sweet heart, Claudie, for over 36 years. Yvon and Claudie have three adult children: Marc the oldest, Ricardo and Melissa.  Yvon and Claudie presently have one grandchild, Marcus who is now 2 years old.

Pastor Yvon came from a non-Christian home where his parents regularly practiced voodoo.  Yvon’s conversion to Christ, on June 25, 1977, was a big turning point in his life. From that time he has had a great passion for evangelism.  His mission experience includes working with Campus Crusade for Christ as “Here’s Life” Director in Haiti for more than ten years.  His service included training churches in basic principles of evangelism and discipleship for the purpose of mobilizing local churches for evangelistic campaigns.  He worked with Haitian Christian Mission as an Administrator for over seven years;  worked with Lifeline Christian Mission serving as Director of Christian Education, Pastor and as a Haitian Representative for over five years; and also worked with Global Vision Citadelle Ministries as co-founder and Field Director for over nine years.  Since 2010, Pastor Yvon has served as the Founder and active Field Director for Global Christian Mission Outreach.

In addition to his extended ministries, as a dynamic preacher of the gospel and as an evangelist, he has also served on the Board of Directors for College Universitaire de Christianville in Haiti.

Yvon is passionate about evangelism, discipleship, and church growth – and he is passionate about people.  He is dedicated to reaching the lost for Christ, and his passion for the gospel is not just for Haiti, but for the world beyond.
